The court ordered Navalny to refute his statements about Usmanov

MOSCOW, may 31 — RIA Novosti. Lublin court of Moscow on Wednesday has fully satisfied the claim of billionaire Alisher Usmanov to Alexei Navalny on protection of honor and dignity, the correspondent of RIA Novosti news from the courtroom.

“To recognize the disseminated information not corresponding to reality and discrediting the honor, dignity and business reputation of the plaintiff. To oblige the defendant to refute them”, — announced the decision of judge Marina Vasina.

The reason for the claim Usmanov, who accused Navalny of slander was the statement of the opposition about the alleged corrupt ties of the businessman, among the claims was the allegation of the transfer of land with a mansion of the sotsgosproyekt Foundation, allegedly controlled by Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev.

After that Usmanov has told to the newspaper “Vedomosti” that the agreement on the transfer of land “Cargospace” is part of the deal for another parcel of land. According to Usmanov, he originally bought the mansion for his sister, but she didn’t want to live there, and then the billionaire has transferred this land to the Fund in return on the ground near a private area.

Usmanov’s lawyer Genrikh Padva in the course of the trial noted that the publication has not been proven any correlation Medvedev with the Fund. “We need to be more responsible with their words. Uncritical attitude to the material brought Navalny to completely unjustified conclusions”, — said the lawyer.

The plaintiff did not raise the monetary claims, but only asked about the denial, he said, untrue information.
