The President of Russia Vladimir Putin in Saint-Petersburg in the framework of SPIEF will discuss with Prime Minister Narendra modi bilateral cooperation and other relevant issues, including the fight against terrorism, the press service of the Kremlin on Tuesday.
“The first of June will be the official visit of Prime Minister modi… the parties will also exchange views on topical international and regional problems, including the fight against terrorism. It is anticipated the joint meeting of the two leaders with leading representatives of Russian and Indian business circles”, — stated in the message.
It is noted that at negotiations of the Russian President with the head of the Indian government also planned to discuss a wide range of issues related to the strengthening of Russian-Indian special and privileged strategic partnership, particularly the expansion of trade and economic cooperation.
According to the press service of the Kremlin, June 1 there will also be a meeting of Putin with heads of international news agencies and to hold talks with activists of the international expert Council of the Russian direct investment Fund and representatives of the international investment community.
“On June 2, the scheduled participation of the President in the plenary session of SPIEF, which will also act as the Prime Minister of India N. Modi, Federal Chancellor of Austria, K. Kern, and the President of Moldova I. N. Dodon. In addition, Vladimir Putin will take part in the panel discussion “Business-dialogue Russia – the USA” and will hold talks with Federal Chancellor of Austria K. Kern and the UN Secretary-General A. Guterres. The head of state will also meet with heads of major foreign companies in the course of the discussion which will discuss the investment climate and business potential of Russia”, — added in the press service of the Kremlin.
SPIEF has been held since 1997, and since 2006 is held under the patronage and with the participation of the President of the Russian Federation. The forum has become the world’s leading platform for communication of representatives of business circles and discuss the key economic issues facing Russia, emerging markets and the world at large. This year the forum will be held in the Northern capital on June 1-3. Participation in the forum to date, 39 have confirmed of Ministers from 26 countries. The total number of participants — more than five thousand people.
