In the southern districts of the Moscow region restored electricity, broken after the hurricane. This was reported on the website of the regional Ministry of energy on Tuesday, may 30.
“Completed connection of subscribers on the network of 6-10 kV in the southern districts of the Moscow region, including domestic consumers,” — said the head of the Department Leonid Neganov.
According to him, now the main works are concentrated in the East suburbs, the disaster affected the latter. The most affected Noginsk and Shchelkovo Orekhovo-Zuyevo districts, the Ministry noted. Emergency repair work is planned to finish till 23:00 on Tuesday.
The energy Ministry also stressed that large-scale damage has occurred due to the fact that power lines from fallen trees, “planted (…) in violation of protected zones”: “Many gardeners know about it, but timely filing is not carried out and the power companies are not allowed to touch their trees. In the end, the trees then lay on the wires, and the cottagers remain without light.”
Earlier Tuesday, the Governor of Moscow region Andrei Vorobyov said that the reconstruction brought over a thousand people and about 400 units. He urged heads of municipalities to monitor the situation and to “keep abreast”.
Heavy rain with thunderstorm and gusty winds was held in the afternoon of may 29. In the different ends of Moscow and some areas of the Moscow region element destroyed trees, ripped billboards and roof roofs, turned the public transport stop. According to Vorobyov in Moscow suburbs the victims of the hurricane were five people.
