Zvyagintsev has named a prize at Cannes as a springboard for the film “Dislike”
CANNES, may 28 — RIA Novosti. Russian Director Andrey Zvyagintsev, who received the jury prize of the Cannes film festival, called it a recognition of his services and the springboard for his painting “Dislike”.
The film “Dislike” participated in competition at Cannes along with the other 18 paintings. He talks about the difficult divorce of a young couple who is so obsessed with personal problems that completely forgets about his twelve-year-old son Alyosha, who one day runs away from home and disappears.
“Any award at the festival of such level is, of course, recognition of your contribution, you and your group. Your movie is observed and it is without a doubt important. I never tire of repeating that the festival is class A, such as Cannes is an incredible springboard for paintings that jump up,” said Zvyagintsev.
According to him, the fact of getting pictures in the contest gives incredible possibilities for future projects.
