The NYT found out about the request Deripaska in exchange for testimony in U.S. Congress
Russian billionaire Oleg Deripaska (23rd position in the Russian rating Forbes; $5.3 billion) offered its cooperation to the committees of both houses of the us Congress who are investigating for possible intervention of Russia in the U.S. presidential election. About it writes edition The New York Times, citing its sources in the Congress.
According to interlocutors of publication, Deripaska has requested in exchange for cooperation with Congress full immunity from possible prosecution. The U.S. Congress has refused, arguing that immunity may interfere with a Federal investigation, the NYT.
The FBI is not planning to cause on interrogation of Deripaska in the investigation of possible Russian interference in the American presidential election, the newspaper notes.
The lawyers of a Russian billionaire has not commented on this information.
In March, the Associated Press reported that the former head of the electoral headquarters of Donald trump by Paul Manafort for several years, I worked for Oleg Deripaska to promote the interests of Vladimir Putin, for which, according to the Agency received from 2005 to 2009, $10 million a year.
According to the Agency, Manafort has developed a plan that “could be very profitable for Russian President Vladimir Putin, after which he began to collaborate with Mr Deripaska. Deripaska, the Agency, in turn, was called a “close associate” of Russian leader.

The statement of claim says that the article of the Agency creates a “false impression” that the transactions which Deripaska made from 2005 to 2009, are related to “alleged crimes and violations,” which may have been admitted during the election campaign trump and during the U.S. presidential election.
Manafort was the head of the electoral headquarters of the trump from April through August 2016. According to the New York Times, Manafort engaged in the promotion of Viktor Yanukovych and contributed to its victory on elections of the President of Ukraine. After the National anticorruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) has published scans of black accountants of the Party of regions, from which it follows that the name of Manafort was paid $12.7 million in cash, resigned from this post.
