The Cabinet supported the bill, clarifying the grounds for revocation of citizenship of the Russian Federation
These changes will allow to cancel the decision on the acquisition of Russian citizenship in case if such decision was made on the basis provided by the applicant of false information.
MOSCOW, may 27. /TASS/. The Russian government endorsed the state Duma a bill specifying the grounds of cancellation of the decision on extradition of Russian citizenship in case if such decision was made on the basis provided by the applicant of false information. The official review is posted on the website of the Cabinet.
“The bill proposes to establish in the Criminal procedure code, in cases stipulated by the legislation, copies of the conviction will also be forwarded to authorities in charge Affairs on citizenship of the Russian Federation. This will allow you to cancel the decision on the acquisition of Russian citizenship in case if such decision was made on the basis provided by the applicant of false information”, — stated in the explanatory note to the document.
The bill is designed to implement the mechanism of cancellation of the decision on the acquisition of Russian citizenship in case of violation of the legislation of the Russian Federation.
The project brought by deputies of the state Duma Vyacheslav Volodin, Vladimir Vasiliev, Vladimir Zhirinovsky and others.
