Presnensky court of Moscow on Thursday placed under house arrest former General Director of the Autonomous nonprofit organization (ANO) “the Seventh Studio” Yuri Itin in the case of embezzlement of budget funds allocated for the development of modern art, the correspondent of TASS from the courtroom.
“The petition of the investigator to meet, to elect against Itin a measure of restraint in the form of house arrest,” announced the decision of the judge.
The investigation was asked about the arrest itina due to the fact that he allegedly attempted to hide evidence and maybe being at liberty to influence the investigation. “Any preventive measure not involving detention, contrary to the interests of the investigation”, — expressed the opinion of the investigator.
The Itin reported that any pressure on the investigation has not tried to organize and denies wrongdoing. “I did not take any actions that violate the law,” he said.
Earlier, the defence of the second defendant in the case — chief accountant, “the Seventh Studio” Nina Massieu said that she was ready to admit guilt and sign a plea deal. According to the materials of the petition of the investigator, Itino and Massieu at this stage were attributed to theft of 1.2 million rubles. “The charges are not yet filed, so to speak of the final amount of damage is impossible — the number of episodes and the amount can change,” — said the representative of Massieu Paul Temujin.
May 23, in the case of theft were searched in the “Gogol-center” and its artistic Director Kirill Serebrennikov.
