Vladimir Putin could go to the presidential elections in 2018, as the independent candidate. Reports about it “Газета.Ru” citing four sources close to the Kremlin.
According to journalists, the final decision the President will take after the September regional elections. Press Secretary of Russian President Dmitry Peskov said that “before this (before the decision – approx. Rambler) is not reached.”

According to the Federal law “On elections of President of the Russian Federation” to run for President as possible from the parties having representation in Parliament and as a candidate. In the latter case, the applicant is requested to support the “group of voters” consisting of not less than 500 Russians. Then the candidate should collect not less than 300 thousand signatures of voters. The Russian presidential election will take place on 11 March 2018.
