Former General Director of the Autonomous nonprofit organization “the Seventh Studio” Yuri Itin and former chief accountant Nina Maslyaeva detained on charges of embezzlement of budget funds, which were raided in the “Gogol-center” and its artistic Director, stage Director Kirill Serebrennikov. Ivanov said that a criminal case was opened under part 4 of article 159 of the criminal code (“Fraud in especially large size”).
As reported earlier, unidentified persons from among the leadership of ANO “the Seventh Studio” from 2011 to 2014, were abducted budget funds in the amount of about 200 million rubles allocated by the state in accordance with the government resolution on the development and popularization of the art of the Russian Federation.
