A California resident admitted the desire to give Russia secret data

An American resident of California Gregory Allen justice, charged with the attempted trade secret information of public importance, pleaded guilty. It is reported by the U.S. Department of justice.

According to investigators, 49-year-old Gregory Allen justice, since 2000, worked as an engineer in the Ministry of defense, last year have stolen “secret information from satellites” and tried to sell it to the person whom he considered to be an employee of Russian intelligence. In fact it was an FBI agent undercover.

It is noted that justice got hold of sensitive information concerning data about the software installed on military and commercial satellites of United States.

Justice had contact with an FBI agent from February to July 2016 and asked for confidential images “thousands of dollars”. In addition, he suggested that the agent visit the “tour” company, which manufactures spacecraft for military purposes.

In July 2016, justice was delayed. At the trial he fully admitted his guilt and explained his action by saying that he wanted to get money to treat sick wife. Now he faces up to 35 years in prison. The verdict of the engineer should announce on September 18.
