In Syria, a native of Birobidzhan died saving a comrade from terrorists
KHABAROVSK, may 22 — RIA Novosti. Russian soldier, captain Evgeny Konstantinov was born and raised in Birobidzhan, were killed in Syria, rescuing a comrade from terrorists, reported RIA Novosti on Monday the representative of the Council of the regional branch of the all-Russian public organization of veterans “Combat brotherhood” in the Jewish Autonomous region.
“The third of may 2017 during the battle, captain Evgeny Konstantinov saw that his comrade was wounded and unable to fight off the terrorists. He rushed to help. But the forces were not equal. Eugene got six bullet wounds. The second soldier also died,” — said the Agency interlocutor.
According to him, Evgeny Konstantinov was buried with military honors on may 7 in Novosibirsk, where his parents live. He submitted for the award of the order of Courage posthumously. He was 32 years old.
As specified in the regional organizations, Evgeny Konstantinov was born and raised in Birobidzhan in the family of a soldier, in 2002 graduated from high school in Birobidzhan and he entered the Novosibirsk military Institute. In Syria as a military adviser assisted the command of the troops of the Syrian army in the training and education of military personnel.
Earlier it was reported that killed three residents of Birobidzhan — contractor Mykyta Shevchenko, nurses Hope Durachenko and Galina Mikhailova.
