The impact of the coalition Pro-government forces SAR are a continuation of the destructive line of Washington and complicate the process of negotiations on the Syrian settlement, said the head of the Duma Committee on international Affairs Leonid Slutsky.
Earlier, a Pentagon spokesman told RIA Novosti that the coalition headed by the USA attacked a Syrian Pro-government forces near Al-TANF within the specified zone, de-escalation. According to him, “the commander on the ground felt that these forces pose a threat to coalition forces”.
“The new US attack on government forces in Syria is a continuation of the destructive policy pursued by Washington, which began with a provocation in Idlib and attack Syrian airbase in HOMS province. Of course, such actions speak about the unpredictability of the American partners, which, of course, complicates the negotiating process on the Syrian settlement, including the agreement on the full resumption of the Memorandum of Russia and the USA on the prevention of air incident in Syria,” — said Slutsky reporters on Friday.
In his opinion, such unilateral steps undermine the possibility of effective cooperation and coordination on combating international terrorism in Syria.
“While Russia is making huge efforts to keep the truce in Syria, USA and its actions weaken the forces leading the fight against ISIS* and “jabhat al-Nusra* and actually “play into the hands of” these terrorist groups”, — concluded the head of the Duma Committee.
