Media: double explosion occurred at the headquarters of the “Ahrar al-sham” in Syria, 40 militants killed

Injured 150 people in the building of the headquarters of the Syrian armed group.

MOSCOW, may 21. /TASS/. The double bombing occurred on Sunday at the headquarters of one of the main Syrian armed groups of “Ahrar al-sham” (banned in Russia) in the Syrian province of Idlib.

As reported by TV channel Al Mayadeen, about 40 militants were killed and another 150 people were injured.

According to TV channel, the incident occurred in the village of tell Toucan in the Eastern province. The aim of the attacks was the headquarters of the “Ahrar al-sham”. The suicide bomber got inside the building and detonated an explosive device during a meeting, “akhrarov”. Another bomb exploded in front of the headquarters.

It is noted that all who were inside the building died. Among them was the military leader of “Ahrar al-sham” Ali, nicknamed Abu Ammar. To date, no one working in the region, the terrorist group has claimed responsibility for the incident.

The TV channel notes that a member of the “Ahrar al-sham,” Ahmed Mohammed Naji blamed the incident on militants of the terrorist group “Islamic state” (IG, is prohibited in Russia).
