Pamfilova told about the new voting mechanisms
VLADIVOSTOK, may 20 — RIA Novosti. The head of the CEC of Russia, Ella Pamfilova said that the new arrangements for voting in the upcoming elections would eliminate the largest source of violations of early voting.
Senators Andrei Klishas and Anatoly Shirokov on 3 March submitted to the state Duma a package of bills aimed at increasing transparency of the elections of the President and other levels of government, liberalization of the approach to the appointment of observers and greater accessibility of polling stations. The bills were adopted in the first reading on 12 April. The second reading of the legislative initiative was substantially modified, in particular, more elaborate voting procedure for the actual location on election day instead of voting with absentee ballots. On Friday, the Duma passed the bill on second reading.
“I am very grateful to the deputies that they had adopted this amendment, which is direct action, which will allow us in the election of governors and legislatures in 20 regions to abandon the “parole”. And “you’re paroled” for us is the beach, the biggest source of violations. And from the so-called absentee ballots,” — said Pamfilova in interview to the program “Vesti on Saturday”.
In the single voting day September 10, 2017 will be 16 elections of heads of subjects of the Russian Federation.
