MOSCOW, may 19. /TASS/. The reference units with a status of “shock” appeared in the airborne troops of Russia. About this at the meeting of managing staff of the airborne troops in Pskov region, said the commander of the troops Colonel-General Andrey Serdyukov.
“In the airborne troops today appeared units with the status of “shock”. It is a reference unit not only for its completeness and availability of modern weaponry, but with better indicators of personnel training”, – he said.
Serdyukov added that that status correspond to the tactical one regimental and one battalion-size tactical group of the Pskov connection, as well as several battalion and several company tactical groups and intelligence units.
“The arrival of a promising new technology in airborne requires constant adjustment of the educational process for more effective use in combat training,” – said Serdyukov. He added that on the ground Strugi Krasnye in the Pskov region in July will be held the regimental tactical exercises with the landing of modern combat and special equipment.
