Half of Russians a few years was not in the Museum, the survey showed
MOSCOW, may 19 — RIA Novosti. About half of Russians (52%) a few years did not go to museums, the survey showed the all-Russia centre of studying of public opinion (VTSIOM).
A tenth of respondents (11%) have never been in museums, 10% went to shows in the past 2-3 months. While 16% of Russians were last in the Museum for one or two years ago.
The absolute most visited museums of Russians (85%) said that they would like more frequent visits to exhibitions and similar events.
The opposite opinion is shared by 14% of respondents, while 1% could not answer the question of sociologists.
Almost two thirds of Russians (64%) heard about the international campaign “Night of museums”, which will be held from 20 to 21 may. For the first time, plan to participate 13% of Russians, 7% wouldn’t be the first time, 6% have participated, but this year will not, and 38% heard about the action, but never participated and this year do not plan to.
According to the Director of research VTSIOM Elena Mikhailova, the action “Night of museums” every year is gaining momentum and has become a regular and anticipated event for many Russians.
At the current pace of life the action acts as an additional incentive to visit museums and exhibitions to those who have long delayed this visit.
For the survey, pollsters phoned 1.2 thousand people at the age of 18 years. The maximum size of the error with 95% probability does not exceed 3.5%.
