Dvorkovich: new jobs in Russia are created through startups
Vice Prime Minister noted that now such enterprises is not enough, and this is one of the main reasons of slow economic growth.
TOMSK, may 19. /TASS/. Economic growth and create new jobs in Russia will be ensured mainly at the expense of small innovative companies and startups. This was stated by Deputy Prime Minister Arkady Dvorkovich, the forum of young scientists U-NOVUS “the Way a technology entrepreneur in Russia: how to start a student?”, which takes place in Tomsk.
“New jobs will be created at the expense of small innovative companies, through startups,” said he.
Dvorkovich also said that now such enterprises are not enough, and this is one of the main reasons of slow economic growth. Increasing the number of small innovative enterprises, GDP growth in Russia could reach 4-5%, he pointed out.
Fear of bankruptcy
Fear and misunderstanding of the bankruptcy, the excessive rigor of state bodies to small irregularities in the business, as well as the desire to make a career in large companies are the main reasons for the low activity of young entrepreneurs in Russia, said Dvorkovich.
“(The reasons are) fines, both direct and other options of punishment for error or failure, when we act out of ignorance or negligence. Due to historical reasons — the excessive desire to punish the system. We have plenty,” said he, answering the question about the reasons of low activity of small business.
Another reason he cited the low tolerance to loss of attachments. “There is no understanding that to fail is okay. Due to the successful projects we will get more,” — said Dvorkovich.
He also noted that young people are dominated by a craving to work in large companies, not start their own business, in which “risks more, but you can earn more”.
