Alexander Brechalov
Acting head of Udmurtia Alexander Brechalov decided to participate in elections of the head of the region, which will be held this fall. He said this to journalists on Friday, may 19, reports “Interfax”.
Brechalov added that can be run from the “United Russia”. “If our colleagues [from the EP] on the political Council so decide, is willing to cooperate in this matter with the party,” he said.
May 18 published an interview in which Brechalov called the optimization of the number of officials in Udmurtia, one of the main tasks for the near future. Among the priorities he has also provided quality work with references of citizens.
On 4 April the President of Russia Vladimir Putin has appointed Brechalov, the acting head of the Udmurt Republic. His predecessor, Alexander Soloviev, a suspect of bribery, was removed from office in connection with loss of trust.
