The orbit of the ISS is raised to 350 meters
The average altitude of the station is now 405,1 km.
MOSCOW, may 18. /TASS/. The mission control center has carried out the planned correction of the orbit of the International space station (ISS), reported TASS the press service of the Centre.
“Completed the maneuver,” — said the press service. The correction started at 00:35 GMT and lasted 13 seconds. It was performed using engines of the service module “Zvezda”.
According to the service ballistic and navigation support MCC, the average altitude of the station after that increased by 350 metres and built 405,1 km.
The maneuver was carried out to provide favorable conditions for landing of the spacecraft “Soyuz MS-03”, which should return to Earth in early June.
