Ukraine has imposed sanctions against social networks “Vkontakte” and “Classmates”
KIEV, may 16. /TASS/. The President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko enacted the decision of national security Council and defence of Ukraine (NSDC) on the introduction of sanctions against social networks “Vkontakte” and “Classmates”, as well as companies Mail.Ru Yandex and their services. This was reported by the press service of the President.
“Poroshenko enacted the decision of national security Council and defence of Ukraine (NSDC) on the introduction of sanctions against social networks “Vkontakte” and “Classmates”, as well as resources services Mail.Ru, Yandex and Yandex. Ukraine”, — said the press service of the head of state.
The decree prescribed to “prohibit Internet service providers provide access services to the Internet users to the service resources Mail.Ru and social resources of “Vkontakte” and “Classmates”.
Sanctions imposed for three years.
Poroshenko also approved an expanded list of individuals and legal entities of the Russian Federation, in respect of which the sanctions. Now sanctions list of individuals consists of 1228 persons, legal entities — from 468. List expanded the number of state Duma deputies, journalists, judges of the constitutional court.
In September 2015, Ukraine for the first time announced the introduction of sanctions against Russian individuals and legal entities, later the sanction list repeatedly replenished.
Currently, the list includes employees of TASS, MIA “Russia today”, the Newspapers “Izvestiya” and “Rossiyskaya Gazeta”, the news Agency RUPTLY, “Look. ru”, NTV, channel one, the Prime Minister of Crimea Sergey Aksenov, the leader of LDPR Vladimir Zhirinovsky, Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin, Federation Council Chairman Valentina Matvienko, the senators, the deputies of the state Duma.
The number of legal persons “Concern PVO “Almaz-Antey”, Bank of Moscow, Gazprombank, First channel, NTV, Russia 24, Aeroflot, Rosoboronexport, Izhmash, KAMAZ, RUSAL, “Aviation complex named after S. V. Ilyushin”, the state Corporation rostec and others.
