The White house urged China and Russia to exert pressure on Pyongyang
Moscow. May 15. INTERFAX.RU — the US Administration urged China, Russia and other countries in the region to exert pressure on North Korea through sanctions, said Monday at a press briefing, White house spokesman Sean Spicer.
“We urge all countries in the region, primarily China and Russia, to do everything from the position of sanctions in order to help in resolving the situation and bringing stability on the (Korean — if) Peninsula,” he said.
“I think there is no doubt that North Korea continues to threaten U.S. allies — Japan, South Korea and its neighbors, including China and Russia,” said Spicer.
