Him and Merkel agreed to create a plan of action to strengthen the EU
Moscow. May 15. INTERFAX.RU — President of France Emmanuel macron said on Monday about reaching an agreement with German Chancellor Angela Merkel on the development of a programme of action to strengthen the EU.
“We agreed with Chancellor Merkel on the establishment of a phased plan for the future of Europe in order to make the Eurozone stronger and stronger,” macron said at a joint press conference with Merkel.
In turn, the Chancellor said that he discussed with Him the issue of refugees, trade relations and tax issues.
“Today we exchanged views and agreed to continue to work closely, including security,” — said Merkel.
The Chancellor also did not rule out the possibility of changing some of the European agreements. “If (the agreement) should be modified, I’m willing to do it,” said Merkel.
“We represent the interests of their countries, but the interests of Germany are closely linked with the interests of France,” she said.
