In the Committee of the state Duma believes that Ukraine wants to break ties between people
MOSCOW, may 16 — RIA Novosti. The introduction of Ukraine sanctions against the company “Yandex” and the Russian social networks “Vkontakte” and “Classmates” talks about efforts to sever relations between people of the two Nations, but it is unlikely to succeed, says member of the Duma Committee on information policy, a former TV presenter Yevgeniy Revenko.
Ukraine has banned access to the social networks “Vkontakte”, “Classmates” and resources Mail.ru and imposed sanctions for a period of three years against the company “Yandex”, according to a decision of the Council of national security and defense Council (NSDC), which on Tuesday approved President Petro Poroshenko.
“In one of the recent statements by Petro Poroshenko said he was divorced with Russia, and these actions are aimed at it, they can be considered as actions aimed at breaking ties between ordinary people, which lie in the plane of communication through social networks such as “Vkontakte”, “Classmates”, and through a powerful search engine “Yandex,” said Revenko told reporters.
In his opinion, such measures will not be able to break any human, any information, no spiritual ties between the two Nations, like Kiev authorities did not try, and “all this wobbly construction prohibitions and sanctions will collapse in the near future.”
“About the mirror measures I would not say that, because on the contrary, we are committed to open cooperation with Ukrainian society,” he added.
