The Ministry of internal Affairs of the Chechen Republic intends to apply to the court after the internal review of the material “Novaya Gazeta” about the mass detention in the Republic of residents based on sexual orientation, said the head of the interior Ministry of the region Ruslan Alkhanov.
According to him, after the publication in “Novaya Gazeta” text “honor Killing” was assigned a service check, which was conducted by employees of operatively-search part of own safety of the Ministry of internal Affairs of the Chechen Republic.
“By its results spread in the media information not found no objective evidence, and materials of office check are directed to investigatory management of Investigatory Committee of the Russian Federation for the Chechen Republic for adoption of the procedural decision in accordance with articles 144 and 145 UPK the Russian Federation”, — quoted Alkhanov’s press-service Ministry of internal Affairs in the region.
He stressed that after the decision of the interior Ministry of the Chechen Republic intends to go to court. Alkhanov also said pseudosections and false statement about the alleged detention of more than 160 homosexual men and killing 50 of them.
“Meanwhile, the Ministry of internal Affairs on CHR checks every fact, announced in the media on the subject, and the hype is overblown individual pseudoplasticity of the Chechen people, is provocative and aims to discredit in the eyes of the public of the Chechen Republic”, — said the Minister.
In the beginning of April, “Novaya Gazeta” has published an article which said about the mass detention in Chechnya residents based on sexual orientation. Press Secretary of the head of Chechnya, Alvi Karimov denied the information of the newspaper and stated that the Republic of men “only one orientation”, as evidenced by the high birth rate.
Earlier, the press Secretary of the President Dmitry Peskov said that there is no reason not to trust the information about the absence of any persecution of gays presented by the head of Chechnya Ramzan Kadyrov in the course of communication with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
