Putin met with XI Jinping, the situation on the Korean Peninsula
BEIJING, may 14 — RIA Novosti. Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President XI Jinping discussed the growing tensions on the Korean Peninsula, expressed a common concern, including recent missile tests in North Korea, said on Sunday the press-Secretary of Russian leader Dmitry Peskov.
In Beijing on may 14-15, held a high-level forum on international cooperation in the framework of the strategy of “One belt and one road”.
It involves presidents and Prime Ministers in 29 States, including the President of the Russian Federation.
“Naturally, we spoke in detail about the situation on the Korean Peninsula. Was expressed mutual concern about the development of this situation and how growing tensions”, — said Peskov told reporters.
He noted that the conversation touched on in particular, and conducted by the DPRK missile tests.
According to Peskov, Putin’s meeting with XI Jinping was very detailed, rich, leaders have reviewed and compared notes on topical issues in bilateral relations.
