Trump discussed with Lavrov the situation in Syria and other world problems
The American President called the meeting “very good”.
Moscow. May 10. INTERFAX.RU — U.S. President Donald trump Wednesday called “very good” on Wednesday a meeting with Russian foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, told the American media.

According to Bloomberg, trump announced that they had a “very, very good meeting.” After meeting with the Russian Minister, the American President said that the terrible violence in Syria must stop.
In turn, Lavrov said that the talks, in addition to the Syrian issue, and discussed the Palestinian-Israeli settlement, situation in Afghanistan and the conflict in Ukraine. “We agreed on these issues to continue working contacts to find ways of rapprochement of positions of all interested parties,” he said at a press conference following the meeting, trump and his American colleague Rex Tillerson in Washington, DC.
The Russian foreign Minister stressed that Russia and the United States should, despite the current difficulties in bilateral relations, joint efforts to solve key issues on the international agenda. According to him, Moscow and Washington are ready to cooperate on creation of zones of de-escalation in Syria, and on Wednesday in the framework of the talks in Washington focused on specific mechanisms of interaction.
“Of course, the political process is very, very important. Believe that you can not take a long time, so we welcome the decision of de Mistura (special envoy of the UN Secretary General on Syria Staffan de Mistura — if) to resume the Geneva talks,” the Minister added.
Lavrov added that the issue of sanctions at the talks trump and Secretary of state Tillerson was not raised.
“The sanctions we are discussing. It’s not our problem. This kind of unilateral action that was taken against us,” Lavrov said Wednesday after talks in Washington.
On Wednesday, the Russian foreign Minister held talks with Tillerson, and then was adopted by the tramp.
