This was announced by the Chairman of the Federation Council Valentina Matvienko.

Strong, close-knit family in which parents and children are separated and love each other, trust each other, is one of the fundamental values of Russian culture. So we are against any measures that are contrary to this value,” — said Matvienko in interview to the newspaper “arguments of the week”.

We have one goal: help the family, especially families with children, promoting its preservation and strengthening, because that’s what is happening in the family, socialization of the person, instilling in him the core values, which it then goes through life. A key principle of our approach to this problem,” — said the Chairman of the upper house of the Russian Parliament.
