Donald trump at the White house, Wednesday, 10 may, will meet with Russian foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov. This is stated in the press service of the presidential administration, RIA Novosti reported.
The meeting is scheduled for 10.30 am local time (17.30 GMT) and will be held in closed to the press. Details of the upcoming conversation is not given.
During his visit to the United States, Lavrov will also hold in Alaska talks with his American colleague Rex Tillerson, where is expected to discuss the initiative on creation of zones of de-escalation in Syria. After that, the representative of Moscow will participate in the Ministerial meeting of the Arctic Council.
May 7, Lavrov said that it is difficult to explain the fact that “statements are diametrically opposed to the content heard from the lips of various members of the administration [trump]”. He recalled that the President gave high assessment to the visit of Secretary of state Rex Tillerson in Russia, as well as after a telephone conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin, at the same time, Tillerson said that the trip has not brought results, and relations between the two countries are in the “low spot”.
