The Federation Council approved the simplification of the entry of foreigners to the far East

The Federation Council of Russia has approved the introduction of a special simplified procedure for entry of foreign tourists and investors to the far East, reports “Interfax” with reference to the press service of the Ministry.

It is noted that this law was supported by the vast majority of the senators: in the new order of entry for foreigners voted by 151 MP.

According to the law, foreigners will be able to come to any of the five far Eastern regions, where there is a free port – Primorsky and Khabarovsk krais, Sakhalin oblast, Chukotka and Kamchatka.

Thus for a visa foreign nationals will need to use a special foreign Ministry’s website and fill out a questionnaire. The visa will be valid for 30 days from the date of its registration with the permitted duration of stay in Russia up to eight days. It is specified that the visa will be free.

Earlier it was reported that the state Duma has allowed foreigners to obtain visas online to enter the free port of Vladivostok.
