Ildar Dading
Papers from the Supreme court came to the colony where the oppositionist Ildar Dading. According to his wife Anastasia Zotova, head of the correctional institution on the phone promised her that the activist will release in the near future. On Sunday, February 26, reports “Interfax”.
According to Zotova, she promised that the Dading let go “within an hour”.
On the eve Zotova addressed the local Prosecutor’s office to check for lost documents on the release of her husband, as they was sent on February 22 and was supposed to reach, but still not received.
On 25 February the Chairman of the Public oversight Commission (POC) of Altai Krai Alexey Belous said that the opposition leader will be released no earlier than next Tuesday. The reason, he said, was the fact that during the broadcast of the meeting of the Presidium of the Supreme court Dading was alone in the room, the employees of the FSIN was not present. In this regard, they have not been informed about the decision and are waiting for the official document from Moscow.
22 February, the Presidium of the Supreme court overturned the convictions of the Dadina.
Dading is the first and currently the only convicted under article 212.1 of the criminal code “Repeated violation of the established procedure of organizing or holding meetings, rallies, demonstrations, marches or picketing”. He is serving his sentence in colony No. 5 of the city of Rubtsovsk (Altai Krai), which was transferred in January from a correctional facility in Segezha (Karelia), where he, according to him, was beaten (check, conducted by the regional Department of the Investigative Committee, this fact is not confirmed).
