In Bishkek protesters demand release of leader of the parliamentary opposition
MOSCOW, 26 Feb — RIA Novosti. Supporters of leader of the parliamentary opposition of Kyrgyzstan Omurbek Tekebayev, a rally at the building of the state Committee of national security in Bishkek. The participants demanded the release of the policy, according to Sputnik Kyrgyzstan.
According to the representative of the Kyrgyz interior Ministry, in action involving up to 300 people. The protesters chanting the slogan “Freedom tekebaeva” and holding red flags of the socialist party.
The rally came the ex-President of Kyrgyzstan Roza Otunbayeva.

She noted that Tekebayev has played a major role in the development of the country’s independence and democratic development. The former President expressed hope that the authorities release the opposition leader under house arrest.
Participants of the rally said that the rally will be of a permanent nature as long as the leader of the party is released from-under guards, the correspondent of RIA Novosti
On Sunday the Prosecutor General’s office of Kyrgyzstan detained Tekebayev, in Bishkek airport. The Deputy was accused of fraud and corruption on the basis of statements of Russian businessman Leonid Maevsky.
The fraction of party “ATA Meken”, which is led by Tekebayev, will initiate an extraordinary session of Parliament. This requires the signatures of 40 legislators.
According to the Deputy Kanybek Imanaliev, the protest will be indefinite. The protesters handed out hot tea, fed with samosas and sandwiches.
