Avakov: security forces could have 5 minutes to disperse the participants of the blockade of Donbass
KYIV, Feb 26 — RIA Novosti. Ukrainian security forces can in five minutes to disperse the radicals, blocking trade with uncontrolled Kiev territories of Donbass, but don’t want to do, said the head of the MIA of Ukraine Arsen Avakov.
In late January, a group of former members of the military operation in the Donbass, including the deputies of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine blocked in some parts of the freight rail traffic from the uncontrolled Kiev territory of Donbass. They stated that, in their opinion, any trade with the breakaway republics is illegal, and all carried out the transport of goods are smuggled. The blockade has led to shortages of anthracite coal, which is mined in the uncontrolled territories of Kiev Donbass. In this regard, the Ukrainian authorities were forced to introduce emergency measures in the energy sector with the aim of saving resources.
“Neither the police nor the national guard, no one came from the fact that we want to disperse it by force. For power dispersal of such an operation will need five minutes of your time and a very small number of trained people. I want to know what is really happening, and everyone did their job: the government has made a decision, a very clear legal regulation (of trade with the DNI and LC — ed.), journalists and experts demonstrated, criticized,” — said Avakov in an interview to Ukrainian TV channel “1+1” on Sunday evening.
