“The Minister (of defence — if) and the chief of staff know that the initiative of your campaign and the preparation for it is my personal initiative,” said Putin at a meeting with the seamen, participants hike to the shores of Syria.
He specifically thanked the industry, which in a short time prepared the equipment and the material. “They prepared you, and you coped brilliantly with the tasks,” — said the head of state.
“You spoke of the difficulties in the course of fulfilling the task. I thought that these difficulties will be, and you will need to overcome them. And you are all done. The task was difficult and complex. Very pleased that you coped with all its components,” — said Putin.
According to him, “this is definitely a good step in the development of the Russian Navy in all its components.”
As stated by the President, the campaign took place in the context of counter-efforts in the fight against international terrorism, not help from some of our so-called partners.
The President stressed that in the course of the operation “much has been done for the first time: the use of modern technology, I mean not only the use of the MiG-29 in the marine version, but the use of precision weapons”.
