Putin has appointed Sergei Zhvachkin, Governor of Tomsk region
Moscow. 21 Feb. INTERFAX.RU — Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree appointed Sergey Zhvachkin, the acting Governor of the Tomsk region, informs on Tuesday a press-service of the head of state.
Putin signed a decree “On early termination of powers of the Governor of the Tomsk region”. “To accept resignation of the Governor of the Tomsk region S. A. Zhvachkin on their own. Assign Zhvachkin Sergey Anatolievich, acting Governor of the Tomsk region before the entry into office of a person elected the Governor of the Tomsk region”, — stated in the text of the decree.
The decree comes into force from the day of its signing.
During the meeting with President Sergey Zhvachkin has expressed a desire to go to the polls in September 2017 and continue at his post.
“We’re a team, and, of course, I would like to consolidate some positions that have managed to win, along with Tomic, because we have amazing people, do so that still life became better. This is the main challenge, in my opinion, for all”, — he told, answering an appropriate question of the President.
The current term of office as Zhvachkin, Governor of Tomsk region ends on March 17.
