Gandalf made a tour to New Zealand
Amateur photographer Akil Suas (Akhil Suhas) undertook a six-month journey through New Zealand. He came up with an unusual idea for shooting beautiful landscapes, so a trip he took on the costume of Gandalf, the wizard from Tolkien’s novel “the Lord of the rings”.
The traveler asked passers-by to try on a costume of a magician and photographed them on the beautiful places. Images Suas published in his instagram under the tag #GandalftheGuide.
The inspiration for the new project was thought about New Zealand, what comes to mind when you talk about this country? 1) landscape and 2) “the Lord of the rings”. I enlisted the help of Gandalf and went.
In an interview with Mashable Akil Suas said that a total of overcame a 15 thousand kilometers. Now he calls the decision to go to New Zealand one of the best in my life.
I have met people and asked them if they wanted to try on a costume of the magician. They gladly answered, “Yes, who wouldn’t want to be Gandalf?”
The photographer is not going to stop there: in the future, he is going to visit Iceland, it is possible that in the trip he will also make a “Gandalf”.
I see no reason why Gandalf can’t leave the shores of middle-earth and go with me next trip.
