FSB detained in Sakhalin group of migrants trying to go to Syria to fight for ISIS
On Sakhalin it is detained the group of immigrants from Central Asia, intending to go to Syria to fight in the ranks of the terrorist organization “Islamic state” (IG: banned in Russia), according to the border Department of the FSB of Russia.
The Department explained that the migrants were heading to Syria “under the ideological influence of one of the members of this group.”
According to the FSB, migrants for a long time were in Russia illegally. One of the detainees was prosecuted for illegal border crossing in Sakhalin and a bribe, and were also declared wanted by the Uzbek authorities for crimes of extremist and mercenary.
The FSB added that four foreigners have already sent home by the court and handed over to foreign law enforcement authorities for prosecution. Entry to the territory of Russia all detainees were forbidden by the authorities, told “RIA Novosti” law enforcement officers.
