Speaker of the state Duma Vyacheslav Volodin said that the agenda of the Duma is not a question of the drafting of legislation for the protection of the President of the Russian Federation, however, in his opinion, this topic is worth discussing.
During a working visit to Kazan Volodin visited Innopolis, a new city under construction near Kazan, Tatarstan, and the University at its base. In the course of communication with students the speaker of the state Duma asked the question about the necessity of legislation for the protection of the President.
“We have this issue in the agenda, but it must be discussed, because it is a safety issue for our institution, and the institution of the presidency is the Central institution,” said Volodin.
He added that the whole international experience shows that such laws are necessary.
Speaker of the state Duma on Monday a working visit to Kazan. Along with him came a number of chairmen of the Duma Committee Sergey Zhigarev (economic policy), Leonid Levin (information policy), Dmitry Morozov (health), Vyacheslav Nikonov (education and science), as well as the head of the faction “United Russia” Vladimir Vasilyev.
