Media: Rogozin has cancelled a visit to Iran
MOSCOW, 14 Feb — RIA Novosti. Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin canceled for “technical reasons” a scheduled trip to Tehran, where he was to meet with Vice President for science and technology Soranou Sattari and defense Minister Hossein Dekhana, wrote on Tuesday the newspaper “Kommersant” with reference to sources.
Previously, the Agency Mehr, citing a statement by Iranian Ambassador to Russia Mehdi Sanaei announced that the head of the energy Ministry of Russia Alexander Novak, first Deputy Prime Minister Igor Shuvalov and Vice Premier Dmitry Rogozin will visit Iran on an official visit within the next month. Dmitry Rogozin, as reported, this week will head the Russian delegation in Tehran for talks on expansion of cooperation of Russia and Iran in the field of technology development and defense. From the Iranian side will take part the Vice-President for science and technology sorena Sattari defence Minister Hossein Dehgan.
The plane with Mr. Rogozin and his accompanying officials had to fly to Tehran yesterday morning, but that never happened: it turned out that on the eve of the Deputy Prime Minister took the decision to cancel the visit, citing “technical reasons”. According to sources, the reason for trip cancellation was disclosed by the Iranian side information about the upcoming visit.
