The murder of the commander of the battalion “Somalia” Mikhail Tolstoy (call Givi) aimed at destabilizing the situation in the Donbass, said the first Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on defense and security Frants Klintsevich. The Senator recalled that in October 2016 in the Elevator of his home was blown up by the battalion commander “Sparta” Arseny Pavlov, also known as Motorola. According to Klintsevich, the murder of Tolstoy and Pavlov — the work of Ukrainian subversive groups, and certainly are related to each other.

The latest terrorist attack is clearly synchronized with the intensification of hostilities the Armed forces of Ukraine in the Donbass, which allows to consider it as part of a plan aimed at destabilizing the situation in the region”, — said the MP.
Klintsevich stressed that the actions of the Ukrainian security forces, in his opinion, “completely meaningless, because in no way change the correlation of forces” in the South-East of Ukraine.
Tolstoy died on Wednesday morning in the office on the basis of his battalion in the vicinity of Donetsk, after his office was shelled from rocket thrower “bumblebee”. The Republic’s authorities called the incident a terrorist attack and accused of murder in the Thick of the Ukrainian authorities.
