In the state Duma offer to give former compatriots special “Russian Card”, which is similar to the American “green card”. According to the draft law, which is developing the Deputy of the state Duma Vladimir Sysoev, the document will confirm the identity of the individual — citizen of one of CIS countries or Baltic States to the Russian people.
The existence of this map implies the right to work, free education, medical care, discounts on travel to Russia.
The “Russian card” — a document which, although does not give the citizenship of Russia, returns to our compatriots many believe it right. They will be able in our country to study and work as other citizens. Or arrive, without paying for a visa,” — said Sysoev
In case of approval of the project, the Russian “green card” will be issued from 1 January 2018.
It is noted that the bill should contribute to the support of kinship, ethnic and linguistic values of the Russian people in foreign countries.
