The speaker of the Federation Council Valentina Matvienko said that the so-called “children’s bill of war” postponed, since its implementation, there are no financial possibilities. Her words Monday, January 23, reports “Interfax”.
“We don’t want broken promises,” — said Matvienko, adding that the bill will be back, having gone through a difficult time.
Thus, according to the speaker of the Federation Council, existing social commitments of the Federal and regional budgets for different segments of the population remain in force.
January 20, during consideration in the first reading the state Duma has rejected the bill “About additional measures of social support of separate categories of citizens who suffered during the great Patriotic war.” The document refers to citizens, who at the time of the end of world war II was less than 18 years of age. The bill, in particular, to pay monthly “children of war” one thousand rubles, and to compensate them for 25 percent of expenses on payment of premises and utilities.
On the same day the state Duma at the first reading rejected the bill “On children of war”, submitted by the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan. Deputies offered to give the bearers of this status the right to monthly monetary payment, for annual medical examinations in medical institutions, payment of travel by rail, air or water transport to the place of death or burial of parents.
