The decision of the Federation Council member Elena Mizulina to leave the “Fair Russia” has surprised the leadership of the party. About it in conversation with “ru” said the Deputy Chairman of the Duma Committee on international Affairs, a member of the CP Alexey chepa.
“For me it’s a complete surprise. I have with it is the warm and friendly relations. We always each other support. I’m at a loss,” — said the MP.
According to him, Mizulina was not in the party any problems or contradictions. “All this is unexpected,” he added.
Earlier on Monday it became known that she had sent a statement of withdrawal from “Fair Russia” in regional branch of the party in Omsk region, which the Senator represents in the Federation Council. She received the membership of the party in 2007.
She works in the upper house of the Russian Parliament from September 2015. Previously he was the Deputy of the state Duma of the second, third, fifth and sixth convocations. In addition to the “Fair Russia”, was the Communist party, “Yabloko” and “Union of right forces”.
The MP known for his controversial bills. In particular, she has repeatedly opposed abortion and surrogate motherhood, ban the sale of pills for abortion, and he was one of the authors of the law on liability for gay propaganda.
January 11, the state Duma adopted in the first reading the draft law on decriminalization of a beating. According to the document, the first case of beating will be considered in the framework of the code of administrative offences and the latter as a criminal offence.
