The government has defined requirements for navigation equipment in Russia. This is referred to in the resolution on criteria for inclusion of electronic components for the GLONASS system to the industrial production, having produced in Russia analogues. The purpose of the document is the stimulation of localization of production of radio navigational equipment in the country, navigation systems for all modes of transport, navigation equipment, special purpose, navigators for personal use. In particular, one of the requirements is the presence on the territory of one of the countries of the Eurasian economic Union service center to the navigation apparatus.
In addition, the share of foreign components in the navigation from 1 January 2018 must not be more than 50 percent of the total, and from January 1, 2020, no more than 30 percent.
