In Israel hospitalized jailed ex-Prime Minister of the country
Moscow. June 20. INTERFAX.RU — Former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert, who is serving a prison term for bribery, was hospitalized in a hospital near tel Aviv due to complaints of chest pains, said on Tuesday The Times of Israel.
According to doctors, the condition of 71-year-old former Prime Minister is currently stable, he is conscious and undergoes a full medical examination.
Olmert served as Prime Minister of Israel from 2006 to 2009. In 2014, he was sentenced to six years imprisonment for bribery and attempts to mislead justice. In 2015, this period was reduced to one and a half years.
Olmert in different years also held the post of mayor of Jerusalem, Minister of Finance and Minister of trade and industry of Israel.
