The US has doubts about the actions of Riyadh and Abu Dhabi against Doha
WASHINGTON, 20 Jun — RIA Novosti, Dmitry Zlatarev. The US has raised more doubts about the actions that are taken against Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the UAE, said on Tuesday state Department spokesman Heather Nauert.
She recalled that “since the introduction of the embargo against Qatar on 5 June it took more than two weeks.”
“We are puzzled by the fact that the Gulf States still have not submitted details of their claims to Qatar. The more time that passes, the more doubts arise about the actions of Saudi Arabia and the UAE,” said Nauert.
According to her, the US “now there is one simple question: whether any of these actions concerns over alleged support of terrorism, or old claims against each other among the members of the cooperation Council of Persian Gulf States”.
Saudi Arabia, UAE, Bahrain and Egypt on 5 June severed diplomatic relations with Doha and stopped with Qatar every message, accusing him of supporting terrorism and interference in their internal Affairs. Later on the rupture of diplomatic relations also said the Maldives, Mauritius, Mauritania. Jordan and Djibouti have reduced the level of its diplomatic missions in Qatar. Senegal, Niger and Chad announced the withdrawal of ambassadors. Qatar has denied the charges.
