Two-thirds of Russians wished to enter the country’s father’s Day
Moscow. June 16. INTERFAX.RU — the Majority of Russians recognize the importance of family holidays (mother’s Day, father’s Day, the Day of family, love and fidelity), noting that such days help us think about family values (44%), spend time with family (39%), to thank loved ones for the warmth and care (36%), according to VTSIOM.
Only 14% of respondents believe these holidays are insignificant, showed the Russian the telephone survey, conducted 10-11 June among 1,200 respondents.
In many countries on the third Sunday of June is father’s Day, in Russia, the official date for celebrating father’s Day not established. Meanwhile, two-thirds (62%) of respondents are in favour to approve this as an official holiday.
To celebrate father’s Day on the third Sunday of June, 16% of Russians. As many (16%) voted for the last Sunday of October (date, close to 25 October, the birthday of children’s Prince Dmitry Donskoy, in October, a lot of men’s professional events).
12% believe that this date should coincide with mother’s Day (last Sunday of November), or celebrated on the last Sunday of February (the date is close to February 23).
