The Pulitzer prize-2017 was awarded to David Grossman
The winner of the international Booker prize in 2017 became the Israeli writer David Grossman, reads the website of the award. He received the award for the book “a Horse walks into a bar” (“A Horse Walks Into a Bar”). This is stated in the message on the official website of the award.
In may was published the “short list” of potential winners, which included six authors from “long list. In addition to Mr. Grossman in the “short list” includes Matias ENAR (France), Roy Jacobsen (Norway), Dorti North (Denmark), Samantha Sublin (Argentina) and Amos Oz (Israel).
Last year the Booker prize was the writer from the United States Paul Beatty. The award was given to him for his novel “a Sale.” He became the first American to receive the award.
Before 2013, the prize is awarded only to citizens of the UK, Ireland and countries in the Commonwealth of Nations.
