The state Duma Committee on Finance recommended the lower chamber of the Parliament to nominate Elvira Nabiullina head of the Central Bank for the next term.
In March 2017, Russian President Vladimir Putin submitted to the state Duma representation about prolongation of powers Nabiullina, appointed head of the Central Bank in 2013, for the next term.
The Committee also recommended that the lower house of Parliament to take note of annual report of Bank for year 2016. Questions about the appointment Nabiullina and the Central Bank report for the year 2016 will be considered by the state Duma plenary meeting, on 9 June.
