MOSCOW, June 6. /TASS/. Ministry of labor proposes to establish in higher education infrastructure for the care of young children born in the students ‘ families.
The head of Department Maxim Topilin said at the meeting on demography and programmes of labour mobility in the Russian far East on Sakhalin island.
“That was a positive demographic trend, it is necessary to take new measures to encourage births, especially in terms of housing policy. You also need to create the conditions to have children in student families. This requires appropriate infrastructure to care for children in educational institutions”, — the press service quoted the words of the Minister.
According to him, Sakhalin has adopted a programme for promoting fertility, and also marked the best demographic indicator in DFO.
“As you know, in the Russian Federation is now a trend — an increase in maternal age at first birth, so it’s important to support young families, including the student that they have the financial ability to bear and properly raise children”, — the Minister added.
