The head of the Pentagon criticized Beijing for its activities in the South China sea
The US say they will never accept China’s claims on an artificial island.
Moscow. June 3. INTERFAX.RU — the United States does not agree with the ongoing militarization of artificial Islands in the South China sea, reports “Bi-bi-si”, quoting us Secretary of defense James Mattis.
The Pentagon chief spoke at a security conference in Singapore and has criticized China’s activities on these Islands. He said that Beijing threatens the stability of the entire region.
China claims most of the sea, including the reefs and Islands, territorial affiliation, which challenged other countries: Philippines, Malaysia, Brunei, Vietnam. Beijing has angered the parties to the dispute of its active construction of artificial Islands and territorial waters up to and including prohibition of their use in neighboring countries.

Earlier, the head of the US state Department Rex Tillerson said that Washington would send Beijing a clear signal that the construction of the Islands should be stopped and that China should stop using the existing ones. The foreign Ministry of China said that he did not intend to abandon its territory.
